Location: Germany, Northrhine-Westphalia, Rheine, 35 m above sea level, garden
Time: 6th of May, 2023

Body size: approx. 10 mm

Dear Forum,

I found this rather large gnat in the morning dew near the small garden pond.

I guess it belongs to Chironomidae, female... is a more precise ID possible?
