Hello

Here is a hoverfly caught today in my garden. I think it's a male Platycheirus but fore tarsi are not inflated contrary to P. albimanus which seemed close at first sight. There are 3 pairs of grey spots on the abdomen, antenna are entirely black. With this description, it seems to be closer to ambiguus group. And there is a curled bristle near the end of fore femora which seems to be typical of P. ambiguus (at least in Great Britain and in Belgium/Netherlands). What do you think about this hoverfly ?

Found in Rosny-sous-Bois, Seine-Saint-Denis, Île-de-France, France
On the 4th of April 2023
Body length : around 8 mm
