a 5-6 mm fly sunnying on a tree trunk at forest (northwest Germany).

A Phyto, in your case no doubt Ph. melanocephala.

Thanks, Theo! That seems to be the most frequent Rhinophoridae species here besides
Rhinophora lepida.
