Hello,

I photographed this fly on Mentha today, and I suspect it is a Tachinidae. Unfortunately, you can't see the abdomen well because it is hidden by the wings. But on the yellow abdomen, you can see a black line along the middle. The fly was not big, maybe 6 mm +-? Is it possible to identify the species?

Greetings, Volker

Hi Eric,

I didn't think about the housefly at all. Again, I was deceived by the hairiness. I must say though that this is the first time I have consciously seen this species up close. Thank you very much and have a nice evening

Greetings, Volker
