Though the short snout is not visible in your pictures, I am quite convinced that it is Leopoldius, as I have seen many of them in the Black Forest foothills in the last weeks. Most of them were males and thus said to be unidentifiable. Nevertheless there are some hints in the key by van Veen (https://home.hccn...ldius.html), and I saw also a female that most probably belonged to L. coronatus. So I dared to label my pictures "L. coronatus". You should better place a "cf." in the name, it would be rather bold to give a certain ID from just a pic, and the upper fly has no absolutely straight front border of the black frontal stripe.
Do you know this nice Leopoldius paper https://www.resea..._Conopidae? If you see a female and get good pictures of the genital, it would be easy to find out the species.
