Hello, the specimen was collected using yellow pan traps in a sand dunes habitat in Romania, July 2022. I can provide other pics if necessary. Lenght of the specimen is around 22 mm.

Thanks you! :) .... It could be Stenopogon sabaudus maybe? In a book about Asilidae from Romania, published in 1971, there are only a few Stenopogon species and follow the key this should be S. sabaudus. Of course in 50 years the number of species known from Romania could have increased, so .... if you need any other pics for determination of this specimen please let me know.

To me this one looks more like Stenopogon cf elongatus. S. sabaudus would have red and black tergites not dusted. In this case the tergites are completely dusted. According to Engel 1930 however third antennal segment (post pedicel) should be black in elongatus
