I found this fly on our window sill. Trying ID failed.
Any epert having an Idea?
Size, 2 mm, Schwetzingen/Germany, 24.6.22

Family Chloropidae. The large shining triangle on the head is common in Chloropidae and rare in other families.

Hi John,
I have lots of different Chloripide ifound in my yard n my database... The shiny triangle is a good hint, I was not aware as a lyman.
I keep on learning....

Chloropidae, Oscinellinae: Oscinella frit (L., 1758) or Oscinella pusilla (Meigen, 1830), the latter has compoletely yellow fore tibiae
