Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Can anyone tell me the subgenus or species of this Empis

I got this dance fly to genus Empis by virtue of wing venation. Can any of you folks tell what subgenus it is? Found solo, nectaring on Plectritis congesta in a clearing surrounded by oak/conifer woodlands and water. Elevation under 50’. Clark County, western Washington, USA. May 11, 2022
