Hi,
Yesterday I came across a very nice Tachinid female that is puzzling me. With the interactive key (http://www.tachin...chweb.aspx) I arrived at Linnaemya, but the key in Tschorsnig & Herting (1994) excludes all species except L. frater, and I do not know if this species is already recorded for Germany. The only pictures I found are in the paper by Sahebari et al. (2018, https://www.resea...stern_Iran), but the print quality is poor.
Well, the wing venation would fit L. frater, and there seem to be black setae behind the postocular setae, too, but I might as well gone wrong in the genus key, so help is appreciated!
The location is Baden-Wuerttemberg, 20 km west of Stuttgart, on the edge of a small wood.
Thanks for any comments, Sundew

Sorry, i missed this one, and it is pretty interesting.
Yes i agree, this should be the female of Linnaemyia frater, ... or
lithosiophaga, I dont know how to tell them apart.
Red femora are pretty unusual in Linnaemyia (yes, vulpina
of course ...)
Probably another southerner heading north ?
In any case, great find !
