this bibio was about 6-8mm,

found in Germany, Northrhine-Westfalia, Recklinghausen, altitude 85m, 4. 5. 2022

could it be Bibio johannis or Bibio reticulatus

Hi, Bibio females are difficult or impossible to identify and usually you will need minimum dorsal and lateral views. But I think I exclude reticulatus, which has hyaline wings and johannis, which has a short head and almost hyaline wings. (Verbeke key)
I guess it could be varipes - on your first image I think I see a light haltere. But it's is not sure!

Strong veins and late date both suggest reticulatus.

There are no more shots, sorry.

We called it Bibio reticulatus.
