Cylindromyia gemma (Tachinidae) (male)
South East Bulgaria, Gorno Pole. 20th June 2014. Altitude 520m . Hilltopping.
Note the very long antennae.
C. gemma is very similar to
C. robusta but sternite 5 for this specimen closely matches that for
C. gemma in the key linked below.
Probably not previously recorded for Bulgaria (there are literature records for Greece but I think not from elsewhere in Europe). There is a nice review and key of East Mediterranean species, including

very nice.
These days, gemma is quite common in the Aegeian pelagico. (unpublished).
Bulgaria is another thing, of course

According to the world checklist, a member of the subgenus
Eucylindromyia Herting, with four species found only in a strip from Greece to Afghanistan.
