Hello,
this fly was found in my garden the 04 04 2022. Size : 2,9 mm.
Locality : Luçon, middle west of France.

Melanagromyza was suggested with the team of the "forum du monde des insectes".

The fly is always in the alcohol, so I can do a picture of the hypopygium to get species if possible.

Thanks by advance.

Best regards.

Christian

Not sure that you'll get a decent hypopygium pic from that specimen - looks like a female to me.

Possibly, though I find the females difficult, even with a specimen!

Hello,
after this frontal view (head width : 0,6 mm.) and the study of the keys of Spencer, it was suggested : Hexomyza simplicoides.

Do you agree with this ID. ?
