Based on the wing pattern, are there any alternatives? Abdominal pattern looks unusual for D. immigrans

Not quite sure, which is often the case with Drosophila pictures. I would not exclude D. kuntzei. If you have the specimen, check if it has a row of denticles on the inner side of fore femur - if yes, then it is immigrans.

Well, I was under the impression that the tips of the longitudinal veins were also darkened - but this seems to be not the case:

In addition, here is a glimpse on the inner foreleg, where I would expect to see the row of bristles:

So D. immigrans seems to be ruled out. Apart from D. kuntzei, would D. limbata or histrio also be a possibility?

Not D. histrio which has triangular spots on abdomen. The present fly has parallel-sided strips. It looks like they are only narrowly interrupted medially, so my choice is (probably) D.kuntzei.
Btw, mesonotum seems me too glossy for immigrans.

Thanks Jan! New (cf.) species for me
