Hello,

I am sorry to bother you again with such bad pictures :|. This 10 mm fly rested on a stone at the forestborder this afternoon (northwest Germany). Seems too slender and thorax too blue for Calliphora. Could it be a female Protophormia terraenovae?

10 mm is OK and they are present first thing in spring … but spring of course shifts earlier and earlier …

I normally see Melinda first on sloe and later on hawthorn blossoms, and the sloe buds are only of pinhead size here these days...
