Hello,

Saw in south of France.

I thinks it's Urophora solstitialis or Urophora cuspidata, with the dark stripe on femora 1 ?

Do the broad wing stripes rather indicate U. cuspidata ?
I don't know the host plant. There were a lot of Centaurea for sure, but may be Carduus too, I don't remember.

Hi Jessica,

Yes, you are right, it is more probably U. cuspidata female than U. solstitialis (and certainly neither U. jaceana, nor U. aprica or U. lopholomae).

Is it from England?
