Dear all,
on 11.05.2021 I found this fly during the night on a dead tree in Berlin (Germany). Do you know which fly species this is?

Hi Adrian, I think it's a Xylophagus cf. ater.

I know the images are not perfectly sharp in the region of the antennae and mesonotum, but I can understand the conclusion when I look at this key:
