Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Schenefeld near Hamburg, walking path along the rivulet Düpenau, bushes like Rubus, Corylus, Acer, Salix and other, first at a leaf of Rubus sp., then on my hand, 14th of September 2021. Photos: kuv.
Is my idea ok? Please help to get the ID.
Greetings Kuv

We've 6 Loxocerini in Europe, 3 of which can be ruled out easily, then rule out L. aristata which has a black occiput with just a tiny white genal patch just below the eye.
Leaving the problem of differentiating between Imantimyia albiseta (yellow/amber face + arista with distinct hairs) and I. fulviventris (black face and hairs on arista less distinctive)
Try Paul Beuk's key (https://www.onlin...?key_no=34) or Phil Withers key (https://www.resea...and_specie) but resolving these two is a perennial problem and full-frontal face shots are rarely taken.

Hi Darwyn Sumner,
thank you very much for your nice ID work! I tried Paul Beuk's key and my result is still I. albiseta. OK?
