Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Sarcophagidae ?

Fly found on a dead tree trunk taking a lot of interest in Digger wasp nests (Ectemnius sp.) Guessing it might be a satellite fly.

Nope. Check the wing venation. It is a Muscidae or Anthomyiidae. Several of these are associated with Aculeata as well.

Muscidae (2+4 dcs and only prescutellar acrostichals differentiated).
