i found this snake in my garden today. What species is it?
Germany, Saarland, Bexbach, Garden, Absolute Altitude 250 m, 21.09.2021

Hi Volker, do you have a lateral shot of the female? Without this closest seems for me Tipula (Savtshenkia) rufina.

i read Tipula rufina flies in the spring? I think it is Tipula confusa.
