Thread subject: Diptera.info :: [Culiseta longiareolata] Culicidae - Anopheles sp ?

Hi there,

I try to identify this Culicidae from around Paris (France).
Based on the resting position, I would go with the genus Anopheles but I am not sure the photo allows us to go to the species level.
Anyone ?

Hi, it's not an Anopheles - the palps are too short.
From what I see on your photo, it could be Culiseta longiareolata.
