No, I think both Cosmin's and Gabor's flies are females - Nikita has posted a picture of a male (with clearly clubbed abdomen) in the gallery (
http://www.dipter...to_id=1907). I was going to suggest there might be regional dfferences in these females, but then realised that they are both from Transylvania! :D As Paul says the flies are not identical - which is the real
