Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Scatella cf stagnalis, Ephydridae, July 28, 2021, near Budapest Hungary

If I remenber right this 2-2.5 mm long Ephydrid with the milkiy spots on the wing is Scatella.

If so this shoul be one of the stagnalis/tenuicosta pair.

Due to the larger size this is more likely to be S. stagnalis, which is the much more common species according to Fauna Hungariae. THis would make it Scatealla cf. stagnalis

Am I right?
