Dear all,
this Asilidae was found on 10.07.2021 near Einbeck, Lower Saxony, Germany and was around 2cm in size.
Can someone identify the species?

This is Machimus rusticus. Could you please tell me, where exactly you took the pictures? I would like to use the data for my atlas project.

Dear Danny,
thanks for the ID. I found the fly in TK 4125/3 NSG Altendorfer Berg east of Einbeck.
It this exact enough for the Atlas?
