Dear all,
this Empis was found on 13.06.2021 near Hannover, Lower Saxony.
Could someone confirm Empis tessellatta?

Not tesselata - female opaca, I think.

I've compared opaca & livida, but the (for me) only visible dividing character is the bare prothoracic episterna - if my eyes don't deceive me. Another photo more dorsally could help.
