Hello,

I photographed this fly in Bazzano (AQ), Italy on May 17th 2021. I think it is a Tachinidae, but is it possible to identify its genus or species from these photos?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Hi Emanuele, it is a Phasia and one of barbifrons, pusilla, theodori...
I cannot see enough to go beyond genus.

On the second photo, you can actually see the tip of the ovipositor and it definitely looks like female Ph. pusilla.
