hi flyforum,

This fly parasited a caterpillar of Phlogophora meticulosa.
It must be Phryxe nemea, and looking at the single, long and strong bristles on the frontal head it is a male. Isn't it?

Heee!, it's my avatar :D ?!
It's me!!
Wow.. , time for the shrink?!

Robert,

Congratulations.
It's Phryxe, it's a male indeed and it looks like Ph. nemea.

Thank You Theo,

You have 'some' hesitation about Ph. nemea, do you?
I can give you a view from above, perhabs that will help?
Or what specific image is needed?

You are right, I have some doubts on the nemea-part.

A lateral head shot would help.

Looks like nemea to me - wide separation between the parafacial and facial ridge bristles - plus a mustard-coloured parafrontal/frons area :)
