Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Drymeia? Muscidae

Hi everyone,

I have quite a few of these specimens that via Manual of Central European Muscidae (Gregor et al) are coming up as Drymeia. Would others agree with this?

The element I'm struggling with is the proboscis - would this be described as long and slender? Because to me it looks quite short!

Thanks very much for any help!

Species of Drymeia are usually black with black halteres, with several posterodorsal bristles on hind tibia, and with interfrontal bristles and one pair of proclinate orbital bristles in female.
