Hi kuv & Jürgen,

I disagree and think kuv has the right family: Chloropidae.
If you measure from wing base to vein R2+3 and where vein R1 ends in the costa relative to that. Vein R1 ends at about halfway in the costa here. It ends about 1/3 in Madiza sp. The distance between vein R1 and the costa, where they are parralel in the wing, are far wider here than in Madiza. The profile of the head, laterally is also different. Here the back of the head is straight, in Madiza the gena cut forward about halfway. And Madiza are either shining black or grey pollinose, this fly is matt black.

Kind regards,
Ectemnius
