Hi
* locality - Montemor-o-Novo
* date - 2007.11.15
* size - 7 mm (medium fly)
* habitat - indoors
* substrate - it was flying...
My friend took these photos... at least, we can see the white eyes. lol
I told him that could be Sarcophagidae or Calliphoridae, but then he drew a sketch and I showed him a photo of Calliphora vomitoria (and he said that it was like that fly... however it is more probable to be another Calliphora and with these photos it is impossibel to say even the family!)

From the picture I cannot even be certain if it is the eyes that are white or its bum. :P

it is a mutation of calliphorid fly. Never saw for Calliphoridae flies this mutation.
Very soon, my friend will deliver this specimen. And then I can give some more info.

Well, like you said, from the pictures you cannot even tell the family. He might have a completely different surprise for you.
