Hi, I've found this copulating couple today near to my compost heap. The male looks like D. suzukii - but can a female be that dark? (Ansbach, DE-Middle-Franconia)

Thanks a lot for your help.

Greetings, Eric

There is a whole range in the degree of darkening in the females. Darkest specimens usually found early or late in the seaon.
