Hello,
what fly is this? I hope not again Scatophaga stercoraria. It took a seat on my window during a rain shower in germany.
Thanks,
Michael

Somehow a I have difficulties to attach the photo. I tried to edit the post, but it didn't work. Are there some new constraints concerning photos?

It's a
Suillia sp. (Heleomyzidae), I think. Very numerous these days in our garden in Ostwestfalen. :)

Hello Paul,
I changed nothing. I just retried it next morning. Perhaps the server was somewhat overloaded in the evening. I saw that I was not the only one with problems. Up to this point I never had problems, so I decided to just wait some time.
Hello J?rgen,
thank yor for the genus. Are there some especially frequent species here in western gemany?

Sorry, I can't answer that. I find here many
Suillias coming to the light in the colder season (when lighting with UV lamp), from 5 to 12 mm. Most of them I posted here in the forum, but with a few exceptions they couldn't be identified after a photo. And because I don't catch specimens, most of them remained
Suillia sp....

Then mine will also stay a Suillia sp. Nevertheless thanks for your answer,
Michael
