Hello,
Here is a brown fly that was inspecting the rotten strawberries in my brother's garden not far from the Baltic coast. The photo was taken last week. I find it difficult to tell all these brownies apart, so I shall surely continue to bother you with them - please stay patient...
Thanks for possible ID,
Sundew

Probably Elgiva solicita (Sciomyzidae)

Without chaetotaxi of pleura there are two possibility:
Elgiva solicita and Ilione albiseta. The last is tipical mid-summer species. On the other hadn, the first has all-year activity. Along with absence on witthish stripe on notopleura -
Elgiva solicita is my opinion too.

Thanks a lot for the precise ID - I didn't expect to get even a species name! I try to keep the characters of this one in mind for the future (unless a more or less resembling one will call forth all my doubts again...)
