Hello!
Here is a female
Tachydromia from north of France (Normandy)
About 2.5mm long
If i say nothing wrong, 4 species of this genera are present in France:
Tachydromia arrogans
Tachydromia aemula
Tachydromia connexa
Tachydromia annulimana
T. arrogans feels bigger (i found a picture of a 7 mm specimen here: https://www.galerie-insecte.org/galerie/ref-68880.htm)
T. annulimana seems to have black/brown 1st femur)
Then, it might be
T. aemula or
T. connexa...
I know that is an hard genera on photo, but mabe someone here will be able to give a name to that fly....
Thanks a lot
Paul

Tachydromia arrogans. The 7 mm reported for
arrogans elsewhere must be incorrect (or perhaps with fore legs stretched in extremis and then to the tips of the wings...?).

Thanks a lot!
Estimation errors are common indeed. This one might rectify our data.
