Hello,
I found this little fly on the plant
Verbascum thapsus near a disused railway track. If my photos are precise enough, could it be the genus
Silba (Setisquamalonchaea) and even the species
Silba fumosa ?

It is exactly the kind of circumstances where I see this species in our museum garden every year.

yes this is
Silba fumosa - almost entirely black with orange-brown calypteres and fringes
