Good evening,
I am new in this forum and as coleopterist, I am keen to learn more about the diptera as I do not know anything.
Hope you can help and direct me to the right documentation to Id the beast.
This one was caught by night in a night trap in my Garden in Belgium in July.
Thanks for your help
Loda

There is
Fauna Entomologica Scandinavica volume 40 by Chvala, and Part 3 of Collin's "
British Flies" volume on Empididae, both of which deal with
Hilara.
