try to edit LEVELS (in Photoshop) to turn the photo more clear. At least, choose the AUTO levels... The best is the Curves command where you can control the light (powerfully command). :)

C vicina - yellow anterior spiracle, dark calypter with broad white border, looks like red gena.

Thank you very much! The book I used said it sometimes enteres houses, so I thought it is the right species. But since the book is pretty outdated (1989 - It claims only 1 species of Tachinidae enteres houses although I've found 4 in the last 3 months) I thought I better check here too. I'll upload photoshopped pictures as soon as I find that disc.

In my experience,
C vicina often enters houses.
