Hello!
I'm not sure, whether this is a "normal"
Calliphora vicina. Its face seems rather dark to me, but it's clearly not
C. vomitoria. Perhaps another species? Found last night at house (Ostwestfalen/Germany), caught by a sector spider.

Correct, it's vicina, by far the most common species

Thanks, Theo! I had hoped it could be one of the rarer winter species. Still looking more closely at each
Calliphora these days - hoping I will some day find one of them... ;)

Really this is the time for adult Zygiella :) We have lots of Zygiella x-notata. ;)

We, too. Can't remember such numbers of them (although they are always numerous around the house). Even overexceed the number of
Nuctenea umbratica now. :o

Nuctenea umbratica - very common in Pinus spp. :S
It seems a little (ok?) like one of my favorite spider families:
Trochanteriidae :D (not palearctic though :( )
