Hello,
is this fly from June 21, 2020 from Leipzig (Saxony/Germany) a Cylindromyia species (maybe interrupta)?
Thanks for your help,
Maik

Because I have no idea about Cylindromyia and I work with the picture book method “Bummi-Bilderbuch-Methode” :-)
Thanks and best regards, Maik

OK, a pair of broad black sublateral vittae on thorax is unique to interrupta.

“Bummi-Bilderbuch” ??
Clearly, my German is running short here 😀

"Bummi" was the name of a magazine in my childhood (GDR), now it is meant to be fun when I try to identify animals at this level. :-)
Thank you for the help and the information.
Best regards,
Maik
