Hello all,
This diptera was collected in the Sierra Nevada near Mammoth Lakes, CA. The diptera is roughly 3-5 mm long. It reminds me of Ephydridae but doesn't have costa fractures I can see.
Help identifying to the Family level would be greatly appreciated.
