Austria, End of May.
Found in a water-filled tree (oak) hole.
Body about 20 mm long.

Stratiomyidae, either Odontomyia or perhaps Oplodontha. Interesting record.

sad, but true...
It hatched a few days ago (that picture does not show the empty pupa).
But there still remain some larvae in the box.

It took one year but a few days ago I found some adult Odontomyia spec. in the box. Further ID possible? (I can make some more pics.)
