I have worked hard trying to key this fly out using Tschorsnig and Hertings key but I just got it wrong. It was impossible. I have worked hard to find what I did wrong, but couldn´t find anything.
Finally I figured out that Smidtia amoena is not in the key! Nor in Belshaw´s key. Why?
Now I'm pretty sure it is Smidtia amoena. Am I right?
Hairy barette, 3+4 dc.

Look under the old name
Timavia amoena.

Oh, there it is! I ignored Timavia because I thought it was a European species that did not exist in Sweden. Thanks a lot John!

If it has 4 post DC and a pretty narrow vertex, it should be OK !
The reason to unite Timavia and Smidtia is found in intermediate species from the eastern Palaearctic. As long as you don’t go to Khabarovsk, not relevant here :)

Yes it has. That was the problem that now is solved.
