Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Dark Rhinophoridae ?

SW France 3 days ago. On a flowerpot. It moved slowly upwards and gave me the chance for lateral views this time. Length between 5 & 6 mm.

Not even sure of the family; the stalk of R4+5 seems very short.

Vertex too narrow for an France Rhinophorid. I am thinking male Dufouria (Tachinidae).
