Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinidae? -> Triarthria setipennis

Hello together,

is it possible, to identify this fly? Foundet in North Bavaria under stones on May 8th 2020, size may be 10 mm.

Reminds me of Triarthria but the species I know of is only 5 mm.

Hello John,

many thanks for your answer. I think the fly was longer and there were more flies under the stones, maybe the flies have just hatched.

John is right (only one species T. setipennis). If you study the background, it is clear that Eugen overestimates its lenght.
