Hello,

After such a long silent time, here I am again ! ;)

This little fly was found in a forest, near Paris, France. Estimated body length is 6 mm.

I don't even have any idea of the family. Can anyone help ?

Dear Martha,

looks like a Syrphidae, Chrysogaster solstitialis male. I hope, the collegues can confirm that.

Greetings
Gisela
