Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Syrphidae or muscidae ?

I'm putting this thread in the Syrphidae section but I'm really not sure it is one. The abdomen and wings are like the hoverflies', by the thorax I would say it is a muscidae. Please help.

Calliphoridae (or Rhiniidae). Maybe Stomorhina lunata.

Thanks, Rui, I think your guess of
Stomorhina lunata is right. I didn't recognize it because I usually see the wings parallel to the body. Any other opinions?

No other options.
Any time you think: IS it Muscidae/Calliphoridae or Syrphidae, I bet you have Stomorhina lunata (as long as you don't leave Europe)

You're definitely not alone in this case. I guess everyone does the same when they find
Stomorhina for the first time. I certainly did :)

This is an ID Stomorhina lunata male so I think Joaquim's flies is the same that this one ;)
