there cant be that many of the larger Rhapium species in Shetland?? with pale femora and tibiae it might be R. consobrinum, jcrassipes or riparium

Thanks Igor, I was thinking it might be Rhaphium. :)

Ian I only have one species of Rhaphium in my Checklist which is R.brevicorne and previously posted some photos of ones I'd seen here, neither was ID'd as brevicorne, so I've bumped into a couple of new ones for my list and neither of those are among the ones you mentioned above. :o

I am happy to check any Rhaphium specimens you may have - often its best to look at the genitalia ............ Iain
