dear Dipterists,
On a Cossus-infested Acer-tree I found many Ferdinandea cuprea but also this fly. I saw photo's of Phaonia fuscata and I feel the fly in my photo looks somewhat similar. But I learnt there are many species within the genus, so if anyone could confirm or otherwise give the name of this one?
many thnx in advance,
David
Locality: near village of Den Burg, Wadden Island of Texel, the netherlands. On bark of Acer tree, cossus-infested. Size around 8 mm. Date: june 2007.

No space in file name, use small letter (incl file extension), check file size and don't use preview with attachments. Edit your first post to add the picture.
