Dioctriinae, probably Dioctria sp. ( I know very little about the Asilidae of Madagascar) I hope another expert can have a look at it. This specimen looks an awful lot like the Palearctic Dioctria longicornis.....

You are 100% sure that this specimen was collected on the island, it can't have been a mix-up?

This is very definitely Dioctria longicornis. Dioctriinae does not occur in the Afrotropics, and this fly is almost certainly not from Madagascar. If it is, it's an introduction.

I'm surprised to know that species can be introduced in this region... The region is very isolated !
