Hey,
I found this fly on 4th of March 2019 in Bavaria, Germany, near a small pond. It was crawling around on the ground and appears to be flightless with those tiny wings.
PS: sorry for the bad picture, but it disappeared in the leave litter and I couldn't find it to make better pics

There are 8 European Sphaeroceridae species with wing polymorphism, viz. brachypterous and macropterous forms. This one resembles a brachycerous
Crumomyia pedestris that is depicted in a paper by Rohacek (
http://www.aemnp...._2_535.pdf). It might be a female of this species.
