Hello!
In the moment there are many
Muscinas around here (Ostwestfalen/Germany) like this one from our house wall yesterday night (
M. levida male):

But does the one one the picture below also belong to that genus? Size about 9-10 mm, darker winks, and I can't see a light tip at the scutellum. Is it more likely a
Polietes?

Tip of scutellum is OK, Muscina is OK too :D

Furthermore, this is Muscina levida male. The color of the male is quite variable, the flies can be very pale when fresh, and gradually darken to almost black as they wear off.
The species is quite common here in Hungary right now, too.
